Your words have shaped treaties, ended blood feuds, and defused tensions with a glance or a toast. Whether working for a nation, a guild, or yourself, you understand people, and the quiet weapons of politics.
Were you trained in statecraft or born to it? Did you ever lie for peace? What negotiation do you most regret – or most fear is yet to come?
- Equipment. A set of fine clothes, a quill and bottle of ink, and a blank treaty.
- Tools & Languages. Calligrapher’s Supplies, one Language of your choice
- Backround Knowledge. You have advantage on Persuasion checks made to prevent violence, negotiate truces, or forge agreements.
- Measured Words. Once per long rest, if you succeed on such a check during a hostile encounter, the creature or group must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your Charisma modifier + your proficiency bonus) or become neutral towards you, and will not consider you an enemy. This effect ends if you or your allies take hostile actions.
