You are a steward of knowledge, a warden of secrets. You’ve catalogued truths that could start wars, and footnoted fables that heal nations. Your hands are stained with ink and candle smoke, your mind filed into columns and categories. And now, out in the world, you’re no longer just an observer of stories – you’re part of one.

Was it curiosity that drew you from the stacks? Or was something misfiled in the world, and you’re the only one who noticed?

  • Equipment. A tome or text (about a great war, person, or Artifact), 5 sheets of parchment, an ink bottle, a feather pen, calligrapher’s supplies or forgery kit, a set of common clothes and a pouch containing 10 gp.

  • Backround Knowledge. You have advantage on ability checks related to libraries, investigation about books, and determining a tome’s origins.
  • Quiet Authority. You can silence a crowd with a glance. Once per long rest, when you speak in a firm but calm voice, creatures of your choice within 30 feet who can hear you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your Proficiency Bonus + your Spellcasting ability modifier) or be quieted (unable to speak above a whisper) for 10 minutes. You may allow them to speak normally again, ending their quietness early.
