2nd-level transmutation

  • Classes: Druid, Sorcerer, Warlock, Wizard
  • Casting Time: 1 action
  • Range: 300 feet
  • Components: V, S, M (a tiny orange flag)
  • Duration: 1 minute

You point at one creature you can see within range and send a lashing tendril of earth to haul it to the ground. The target must succeed on a Strength saving throw, or immediately fall prone. If the creature has a flying speed, it loses its flying speed for the spell’s duration, causing it to fall even if it can hover. An airborne creature takes falling damage as normal, up to a maximum of 4d6 points of bludgeoning damage.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the number of targets increases by 1 for each slot level above 2nd, and the maximum damage from falling increases by 1d6 for each level above 2nd.
